This page explains how to delete your Hanshek account and what happens to your data when you do. It applies to our website (hanshek.com) and our Android and iOS mobile applications.
1. How to Delete Your Account
In the mobile app:
- Open the app and go to Settings.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
- Tap Delete Account, confirm your password, type DELETE, and confirm.
On the web:
- Log in at hanshek.com and open Settings.
- Use the Delete Account option and follow the confirmation steps.
If you cannot access your account:
Email [email protected] from the email address registered to your account and request deletion. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
2. What Gets Deleted
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. We permanently remove your personal data, including:
- Your profile (name, handle, email, and avatar).
- Your posts, messages, and other content you created.
- Your account credentials and personal settings.
3. What We Keep
After deletion we may keep only anonymous statistics that cannot be linked back to you — for example, the country associated with the account and an optional reason for leaving. This information contains no name, email, or other identifying details and is used only to understand and improve our service.
4. How Long It Takes
Your account and personal data are deleted immediately and permanently once you confirm the request.
