Welcome to Hanshek. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Hanshek ("Hanshek," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of hanshek.com, our Android and iOS mobile applications, and all related services, features, and content (collectively, the "Services" or "Platform").
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher, to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for your account, login credentials, and all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.
2. What Hanshek Is and Is Not
Hanshek is a user-generated discovery platform that helps people publish, find, and share posts about opportunities, services, products, information, needs, offers, and other useful topics.
Hanshek is not a payment processor, money transmitter, escrow service, broker, agent, employer, recruiter, marketplace operator for completed transactions, dating guarantor, or insurer. We do not collect, receive, hold, transfer, process, or distribute money on behalf of users for user-to-user arrangements.
3. User Responsibility and User-to-User Interactions
Hanshek is not a party to any agreement, transaction, arrangement, or dispute between users. We do not guarantee the identity, intentions, legitimacy, honesty, quality, safety, legality, or performance of any user, offer, job, product, service, or claim made on the Platform.
You are solely responsible for:
- Evaluating who you interact with
- Verifying information, offers, and claims
- Deciding whether to communicate, meet, hire, buy, sell, or engage
- Taking appropriate safety precautions, including for offline meetings
- Complying with all laws that apply to your actions and interactions
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Post or share fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, scam-related, or illegal content
- Harass, threaten, abuse, exploit, impersonate, or endanger others
- Promote violence, hate speech, unlawful discrimination, sexual exploitation, or child sexual abuse material
- Violate any law, regulation, platform rule, advertising policy, or third-party right
- Post spam, phishing links, malware, unauthorized advertising, or manipulative content
- Use bots, scraping tools, or automation to manipulate the Platform without permission
- Interfere with the Platform's security, systems, integrity, ad delivery, measurement, or performance
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Services ("User Content"). By posting or submitting User Content, you grant Hanshek a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, distribute, adapt, and use that content as needed to operate, secure, improve, personalize, promote, moderate, and provide the Services.
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to post your User Content and that your User Content does not violate these Terms, our policies, any law, or any third-party right.
5.1 Automated and AI-Assisted Processing
You acknowledge that content you submit may be processed by automated and AI-assisted systems, including systems operated by third-party providers on our behalf, to categorize posts, apply labels or filters, support safety review, rank content in search and feeds, and improve the Services. Automated results may be imperfect. If you believe your post was categorized or restricted incorrectly, contact us through support.
6. Moderation and Enforcement
We may, but are not obligated to, monitor content or user activity. We reserve the right to remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, terminate access, or report activity to appropriate authorities if we believe a user has violated these Terms, created risk, harmed the Platform or others, or threatened compliance with app store, ad network, or legal requirements.
7. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content and Abusive Users
Hanshek has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You may not post illegal or prohibited content. We provide tools to report content and users and to block users. We review reports and may remove content, suspend, or permanently ban accounts. We aim to act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours where reasonably possible.
8. Advertising, Sponsored Content, and Third-Party Ads
Hanshek may display ads, sponsored placements, promoted content, or other monetization features on the website and in mobile app versions where advertising is enabled. Ads may be served by third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense on the website and Google AdMob/Google Mobile Ads in mobile apps where enabled.
Third-party ad partners may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, ad interaction data, and other information as described in our Privacy Policy and the partner's policies. Personalized ads may be shown only where permitted by law, platform rules, and your consent or settings.
We do not endorse every advertiser, product, service, or external website shown in ads. If you interact with an ad or third-party offer, your interaction is with that advertiser or third party, not Hanshek. You are responsible for reviewing third-party terms, privacy policies, prices, claims, and safety before taking action.
You may not manipulate ad impressions, clicks, requests, rewards, conversions, or measurement; interfere with ad delivery; encourage invalid clicks; or use the Services in a way that violates Google AdSense, Google AdMob, Apple, Google Play, or other advertising/platform policies.
9. Third-Party Services and SDKs
The Services may include links to or integrations with third-party services, SDKs, and platforms, including social login providers, analytics providers, advertising providers, hosting providers, push notification providers, app stores, and AI infrastructure providers. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, content, terms, or privacy practices.
10. Mobile App Store Terms
If you use our Android or iOS apps, your use may also be subject to the terms and policies of Google Play and/or the Apple App Store. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Services except as required by applicable law.
For iOS users: these Terms are an agreement between you and Hanshek only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product-liability, legal-compliance, and intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you upon your acceptance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
11. Privacy and Consent Choices
Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that your information may be processed according to that policy. Where required, we will request consent for optional analytics, personalized advertising, cookies/local storage, tracking, or access to advertising identifiers. Refusing optional consent does not prevent you from using core Hanshek features, although some personalization or ad-related features may be limited.
12. Account Deletion and Termination
You may delete your account through account settings, through our in-app support options, or by contacting [email protected]. We also provide an account deletion page at /delete-account/.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at our discretion, subject to applicable law.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Hanshek disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hanshek does not guarantee:
- The accuracy, truthfulness, or reliability of user content or claims
- The identity, intentions, conduct, or legitimacy of users
- The quality, legality, safety, or completion of any user-to-user interaction, transaction, job, sale, purchase, service, or relationship
- The quality, legality, availability, or safety of third-party ads, advertisers, or external links
- That the Services will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hanshek and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of the Services.
This includes losses or claims arising from user-to-user communications, meetings, transactions, ads, third-party links, job arrangements, purchases, sales, services, relationships, disputes, injuries, or misconduct, whether occurring online or offline.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hanshek's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us, if any, for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100.
15. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Hanshek and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the Services
- Your User Content
- Your interactions or disputes with other users or third parties
- Your violation of these Terms or our policies
- Your violation of law, app store rules, advertising policies, or third-party rights
16. Changes to the Services or Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services at any time, and we may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice as appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of laws principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws apply in your jurisdiction.
Disputes arising from these Terms or the Services will be resolved in the courts located in Islamabad, Pakistan, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
18. General Terms
- If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
- You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional policies we publish, form the entire agreement between you and Hanshek regarding the Services.
