Does SEO have a future if you're starting in 2026?

I was thinking about getting into SEO this year, but I keep seeing people saying that SEO is dead, or that AI is going to replace SEO, and that it's a career with no future. So I've been really unsure and confused about whether it's worth starting in SEO nowadays.
