We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, gas systems, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

Commercial Kitchen Equipment

* Maintain, troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen equipment.

* Service ovens, combi ovens, cooking ranges, fryers, grills, griddles and bain maries.

* Maintain dishwashing machines, food processors, mixers, slicers and other food preparation equipment.

* Maintain exhaust hoods, ventilation systems and food-warming equipment.

* Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance while minimizing kitchen downtime.

❄️ Refrigeration & Cold Storage

* Maintain and repair cold rooms, chillers, freezers, refrigerators and blast chillers/freezers.

* Troubleshoot compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, controllers, fans and sensors.

* Monitor temperature performance and carry out preventive maintenance.

* Coordinate with specialist refrigeration contractors when required.

🔥 Gas Systems

* Inspect and maintain commercial kitchen gas lines, valves, regulators, burners, hoses and connections.

* Identify gas leaks and faults and respond promptly to gas-related issues.

* Ensure gas-operated equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.

* Coordinate with approved/licensed gas contractors when required.

❄️ HVAC & Ventilation

* Maintain and troubleshoot split AC, package units, central AC and ventilation systems.

* Diagnose cooling, airflow, compressor, motor, thermostat, filter, condenser and evaporator issues.

* Maintain kitchen extraction and ventilation systems.

⚡ Electrical & Plumbing

* Troubleshoot electrical faults involving switches, breakers, contactors, motors, sensors and control panels.

* Handle general plumbing maintenance including water supply, drainage, pumps, valves, sinks and kitchen plumbing.

* Engage qualified specialists for work requiring specific certification or authorization.

✅ Requirements

* Proven experience as a Kitchen Technician / Maintenance Technician in a restaurant, hotel, catering or commercial kitchen environment.

* Strong hands-on knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.

* Experience with refrigeration, gas systems, HVAC, electrical and plumbing maintenance.

* Ability to troubleshoot equipment faults and perform preventive maintenance.

* Good understanding of workplace and equipment safety.

* Ability to respond quickly to urgent breakdowns.

* Relevant technical qualification/certification is an advantage.
